Accessories for Bottom Loading Arms - Emergency Release Coupling

This is useful device in bottom loading arm. This device allows tanker to run away without disconnecting from the pipeline of the plant. In case of emergency this also stop flow of liquid on both side ( tanker & plant ) by self sealing. Entire coupling works automatically and no separate operation is required for its actuation. Reconnection of the same can be done within 10 minutes and do not require any spares or tools for the same.

TECHNIKA Make Emergency Release Coupling For LPG Loading/Unloading Arm

Principle:
Installed at the LPG Loading/Unloading Arm extremity, the emergency release coupling provides for Liquid / Vapour arm & tanker (vehicle) separation, without product spillage, The Emergency Release Coupling will be activated in the event of tanker ( road or rail ) movement, beyond the working envelope, during loading / unloading process. Disconnection is achieved automatically by the torque Created due to excessive movement of loading arms.

Installation:
It is recommended that the Emergency Release Coupling ( ERC ) is mounted at the end of the arm, as close as possible to the vehicle connections, and down stream of the isolation valve. TECHNIKA make Emergency Release Coupling ( ERC ) is having socket weld end connections. This can be easily welded to the nozzle pipe. Moreover it is also possible to open from other end of the coupling for servicing.

Configuration:
The coupler is normally welded into the schedule 40 or 80 pipes, Other alternatives can also be offered such as flanged or threaded connections.

Dimension:
Length: 150 mm.
Weight: 12 Kgs.

Construction:
Material: Stainless Steel
Seal: Buna'N'/Viton

Mechanical Operation:
Disconnection is achieved automatically by excessive movement ( opening ) between inboard & outboard arm. This movement pulls the cable, Which in turn opens the holding clamp of the Emergency Release Coupling ( ERC ).This results in the disconnection of the same in two half, having self sealing valve at both the ends. This allows the tanker to move away and also stops flow of the product from both the ends. accordingly.
