SWIVEL JOINTS FOR FLOATING ROOF (STANDARD DESIGN)
• TECHNIKA make Carbon steel & stainless steel Standard type swivel joint were developed specifically for heavy load. Metallic roof drain piping for floating roof tank. Swivel can be advantageously used to replace conventional rubber piping used for draining monsoon water from the tank deck. Rubber piping kinks and gets ruptured which results in product loss.Metallic piping with swivel joints can be reused after seal replacement and hence it is quite economical. Swivel Joints are available in Carbon steel , Aluminium , Stainless steel or Brass Material. They are available with flanged , screwed , socket weld or butt weld end connections.
• TECHNIKA Swivel Joints are Tested Hydrostatically at 6 kg/sqcm for 5 minutes.They are also checked for swivel movements for smooth operation for 360 degree rotation under pressure.
• Swivel joints are used for floating roof tank drain line in submerged condition,it is also important that, they should not leak when pressure is applied from Out side to inside. Infact this is very important, as while in use, product out side of the swivel joint (Product inside the tank) should not leak inside the swivel joint, which will eighter get drained or will go on the top of the roof.Please note that, this is one of the problem faced in practise.In order to avoid this,we are providing External Body pressure testing, under rotation. In this test exteranl area of the swivel joint is pressurized at 4 kg / Sq.cm.Then swivel joint is tested for leak under rotation in the inside surface. Swivel joints are provided with two coat of anti corrosive paints on all external surfaces.
